Cooper B-Line GRIP STRUT running boards, brake steps and end platforms are designed specifically for railcars. Our unique design provides one of the safest, skid-resistant walking surfaces available in the industry today. Cooper B-Line GRIP STRUT brake steps and end platforms include brake chain collar reinforcements for added strength and a universal mounting slot pattern for ease of application.
Approved by the Association of American Railroads (AAR), the GRIP STRUT Safety Plate exceeds the Federal anti-slip requirements. It features a serrated surface to grab shoe soles tightly, providing slip-resistance in all directions. Large, diamond-shaped openings help keep snow, ice and mud off the surface to help prevent slippage. Our end platforms and brake steps are a one-piece design which helps prevent breakage or detachment from vibration or impact.
Running boards, brake steps and end platforms are also available with our PERF-O GRIP round hole pattern. This design is light-weight and resilient making it easy to handle and install, as well as provide slip resistance in all directions.
